Post-Care Instructions for Laser Tattoo Removal
Post-Care Instructions for Laser Tattoo Removal
Thank you for choosing us for your laser tattoo removal treatment. Proper aftercare is essential for optimal healing. Please follow these instructions carefully:

Immediate Post-Treatment Care (First 24–48 Hours):
- Cool the area: Apply a clean cold compress or wrapped ice pack to reduce swelling and discomfort. Do not apply ice directly to the skin.
- Keep the area clean and dry: Gently cleanse with cool water and pat dry using a clean towel. Do not scrub or rub.
- Avoid makeup: Do not apply any makeup, creams, or lotions to the treated area for at least 48 hours
- Use healing ointment: Apply a thin layer of ointment provided to keep the skin hydrated.
- Avoid sweating and heat: Refrain from hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and heavy exercise for at least 48–72 hours.
Ongoing Care (Up to 2 Weeks Post-Treatment):
- Avoid picking or scratching: Scabbing, flaking, or crusting is normal. Do not pick at scabs as this may lead to scarring or pigment changes.
- Limit sun exposure: Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ on the treated area once it is healed.
- No chemical exfoliants or active skincare: Avoid retinol, glycolic acid, or any harsh products on or near the treated area for at least 7 days.
What TO Expect:
- Redness, swelling, tenderness, and a sunburn-like sensation are normal for the first 24–72 hours.
- The brow area may temporarily darken or lighten as pigment fragments are broken down and removed by your immune system.
- Blistering or scabbing can occur and is part of the healing process—do not disturb these areas.

When to Contact Your Artist:
- Signs of infection (increased redness, warmth, pus, or spreading rash)
- Blistering that is unusually painful or extensive
- Unexpected or prolonged swelling beyond 3–4 days
- Any allergic reaction or severe discomfort
